Greetings..  The weather is cooling off, and it is a wonderful time of the year..  Halloween (Samhain), has always been my favorite holiday, and it is indeed a shame that it only comes once a year..  It is always a very fun time..  I've had the good fortune of playing some great gigs lately, and I am looking forward to many more..  I played Friday night at Rusty's in Mcdonough with Matt Slaughter, and Greg Smith for race weekend.. The place was packed, and we enjoyed the night..  Saturday night was time for MOTION at a Halloween party near Hamilton Mill..  David Haney brought in a mega P.A. system, and we rocked the house..  Motion is currently negotiating some club dates for November and December..  I love to play with this band, and the music we play is very eclectic and a challenge for all of us..  I am eagerly anticipating our next gig..  MOTION ROCKS!!!  Check out our website at www.motionrocks.com..
Thursday nights are still happening at Monterrey's Mexican Restaurant on Buford Highway in Doraville..  Every week is a party with margarita specials, great food, and yours truly playing all of your favorite tunes..  Lately the song list has included Eagles, Pink Floyd, Beatles, Simon and Garfunkel, Harry Chapin, Poison, Neil Diamond, America, Bread, and just about anything else you can think of..  I have played this gig for almost a year and a half, and it never gets old..  It is a great way to start the weekend, and a good time is guaranteed..  The music starts around 7:45 every Thursday, so come on down!!
I will be playing with the League Of Decency at Fuzzy's Place on North Druid Hills Road on Saturday, November 5th..  The League will also be playing at Jake's Toadhouse on Saturday, November 26th..  These 2 gigs will be a great way for you to hear a hip group with a great horn section playing some cool tunes..  If you have never heard the League, you owe it to yourself to check it out..
George Hughley and the Colored Boyz are no longer playing at Leisures on Sunday nights..  We will be back there in the future, but due to unforseen circumstances, we are not playing every Sunday night..  I will keep you informed where we will be appearing in the future..
I've had lots of fun lately jamming with Van Temple (The Producers), Steve Taylor (The Blonz), Bill Stewart (Greg Allman Band), and Doug Russell at the Tucker Honky Tonk on Lawrenceville Highway in Tucker.. They play there Wednesday thru Sunday nights every week..  If you are in the area, stop in and check them out..
That's all of the news for now..  Lots of things are in the works, and check back often to get the run down on what is going on..  Peace....
