September 25th, 2006

Greetings..  I've had a very busy summer, and it is great to finally enjoy some cooler weather..  I have also had the good fortune of having some pretty steady gigs..  I am blessed to be a part of several good bands, and play a big variety of music so I never get burned out performing the same songs over, and over again..  I worked with Heaven Davis at an outdoor concert at the Mall of Georgia, and also performed with her at the Yellow Daisy Festival at Stone Mountain this summer..  She is a wonderful singer, and entertainer..  It is always a pleasure working with her..  She also has a song on Billboard's R & B charts..  Check her out if you get the chance..  I also worked with the League Of Decency at Evergreen in Stone Mountain Park, and at Chateau Elan for corporate functions.  BIG TROUBLE has played some great shows at Hank and Jerry's in Conyers this summer, and the band sounds killer..  It features Andrea Ellis, Chris Ortiz, and George Calhoon..  It is lots of fun to work with these pros..  Speaking of pros, MOTION has been rocking at Motorheads in Mcdonough to capacity crowds..  It is always a great experience to be onstage with these guys, and to work with these veterans of the music scene..  It is quite a rock show!!  I've been performing lots of weekends this summer with the Ron Kimble Band..  Ron has been around for a long time, and is an Atlanta icon..  He is a great entertainer, and is capable of singing any song at any time, so it keeps us on our toes..  He is always a source for a good laugh, because you never know what he is gonna say, or do.. I have also been playing solo gigs at the Wooden Nickel in Tucker, and at Monterrey's in Doraville..  I like doing the solo gigs so I can pull out some of the tunes that I never get to play in other situations..  There are so many great songs out there, and I enjoy playing the eclectic, acoustic music..

Thursday nights are still a great way to start the weekend early at Monterrey's Mexican Restaurant on Buford Highway in Doraville..  It is the home of my regular, solo, acoustic gig and one of the highlights of my week..  Margarita specials, great Mexican cuisine, and cold beer in frosty mugs await you!!  The song list is wide open, and can include just about anything..  We have a great party there every week, and it is great to see all of the regulars coming back every week for more..  Music starts at 7:45 p.m.

The League Of Decency has quite a few gigs coming up, including shows at the 3 Sisters Winery on October 3rd, the Waverly at Cobb Galleria on October 14th, and in Charleston on November 4th..  I will also be playing at the Madison Barbeque in October 7th with David Ellington, George Calhoon, and Tommy Vickory..  Should be lots of fun..  MOTION will be playing the BOO BASH for the second year in a row on October 21st..  It was a great party last year..  I have several gigs with Ron KImble at Glenda's, Rudy's, and Hank and Jerry's..  Check the calendar for dates..  I also have several dates pending with BIG TROUBLE, but won't list them here until they are confirmed..  Check the calendar..

Thanks for visiting my web site, and I hope you will make an effort to come out and attend some shows in the near future..  I am thankful for all of my friends, and the talent that God has given me to do what I do..  I never take it lightly..  I wish all of you peace and happiness..  Stay tuned..
