February 14th,  2006

Greetings..  Happy Valentines Day to everyone, and I hope you know that you are loved..  Congratulations to the Pittsburgh Steelers for winning the Super Bowl!!  I had 2 great gigs at Motorheads with MOTION, and I would like to thank everyone for coming out and partying with us!!  The band sounded great (thanks to Fernie), and everyone's performance was good..  Lots of fun was had by everyone, and it was great to see Steve and Nettie (who took some great pics), Susan, Kim, Joyce, Dee, Phil, Denise, Lisa, Linda, MIke, Johnny, and Andrea..  We will be back at Motorheads in May, so I will keep everyone informed about the dates that MOTION will be appearing..  You can also check out www.motionrocks.com for more info..
I have also had some great solo gigs lately at Monterrey's, and Saturday night was so packed, people were waiting to sit down..  Thanks to everyone who comes out to the solo gigs, and hangs out with me..  It makes all the difference in the world when there is a crowd to entertain..
Thursday nights are still a great way to start the weekend at Monterey's Mexican Restaurant on Buford Highway in Doraville..  Home of my regular, solo, acoustic gig, and one of the highlights of my week..  Great margaritas, the best in Mexican Cruisine, and cold beer await you!!  The song list is always wide open, and lots of strange requests have been coming lately, but I love the challenge..  This past week included songs by Mason Williams, America, Restless Heart, Tim Mcgraw, Simon and Garfunkel, Poison, Pink Floyd, Beatles, Drivin' n Cryin', REO Speedwagon, John Lennon, Willie Nelson, Waylon Jennings, Merle Haggard, Eagles, Village People, and David Allen Coe..  Whew!!  What a mixture!!  It sure keeps it from getting old..  Music starts around 7:45 p.m., so what are you waiting for??  COME ON DOWN!!
Thursday, Feb. 16th, I will not be at Monterrey's due to a gig in Tampa Florida with the LEAGUE OF DECENCY.   I will return to Atlanta just in time to play the Egyptian Ballroom at the Fox Theatre on Saturday, Feb.18th for a Mardi Gras party with the League..  It will also be my one year anniversary with the band..  I've learned alot this year from playing with the League, and it has been a very enjoyable experience..
Look for gigs with the League coming up at Jake's Toadhouse, and Fuzzy's Place..  We will also be perfoming at the Atlanta History Center on Saturday, March 4th..  Check out www.leagueofdecency.com for more details..
Friday and Saturday, Feb. 24th and 25th, I will be appearing with the RON KIMBLE BAND at Uncle Woody's Party Place on Highway 78 between Snellville and Stone Mountain..  Ron is a great singer and entertainer, and an Atlanta icon..  Many of you remember him from the Hemingway's days in the 70s and 80s..  Ron is very unpredictable, and can call any song at any time, so he keeps us on our toes..  Music will start at 9:30 p.m. both nights..
I am currently putting together a new project called BIG TROUBLE with Andrea Ellis, Chris Ortiz, and Bill Stewart..  We will be out playing some clubs soon, and I hope you will check us out..  We plan on covering lots of material including Gretchen Wilson, Melissa Ethridge, Martina Mcbride, Shania Twain, Fleetwood Mac, and many others..  Check the calendar to see where I am gigging, and stop in and say hello..  Hope to see ya soon... Stay tuned...
